westport wineryWestport Winery earned impressive scores in the recent Fruit Wine World Championships held in Chicago, Illinois.

Topping the list was Boom Runner, their unique sparkling pomegranate wine, with 96-points, a platinum medal, and “superlative” rating. A portion of the proceeds from this wine benefits the Polson Museum in Hoquiam, Washington and features a historic logging photo on the label. The Boom Runner sculpture was designed and built by industrial artist Tavis Highlander of Longview, Washington.

Maritime, a sparkling Muscat, pomegranate and blueberry blend, earned 93-points, a gold medal, and an “exceptional” rating. The label features an original watercolor by Darrel Easter of Camarillo, California. This wine benefits the Northwest Carriage Museum in Raymond, Washington. A sculpture commemorating this wine was unveiled by Hoquiam artist Gary Douglas Lennon on August 5 in the winery’s Beauty From Ashes Garden.

2015 Boom Front Westport WineryThe winery’s fortified blueberry wine named True Blue also earned 92-points, a gold medal, and “exceptional” rating. Some proceeds from the sale of this wine benefits North Beach PAWS in Ocean Shores, Washington. Lora and Kim Malakoff of Clallam Bay, Washington, are in the process of creating the sculpture commemorating this wine featuring the Roberts family’s beloved St. Bernard Koko when she was alive.

Red Sky at Night–a chocolate raspberry wine–and Shelter From The Storm–a cranberry, blackberry, blueberry wine–earned silver medals and “highly recommended” ratings.

These award-winning wines are exclusively available at the resort.
