Community Foundation Selects 2014 Scholarship Awardees

The Community Foundation of South Puget Sound’s board of directors has awarded $131,300 in scholarships to Thurston and Lewis County students.  The awards were made to 22 graduating high school seniors and to 26 continuing college students.

Thurston County new and returning college students received a total of $102,800 in 2014 awards.  “The Foundation’s scholarship program is made possible by generous donors who are committed to bettering our communities by enabling our young people to get a college education,” notes Norma Schuiteman, Foundation CEO/President.  “Each year these donors impress us with their generosity.”  Early each year the Foundation’s available scholarships are posted at www.thecommunityfoundation.com  “We encourage graduating seniors to review these opportunities to participate in our scholarship program,” Schuiteman says.
