The Pacific Northwest has earned a reputation for producing some of the best roller derby talent in North America. That reputation was on full display on Easter Sunday, as the Puget Sound Outcasts and the Oly Rollers defeated their respective San Diego opponents at Skateland in East Olympia. The Outcasts, comprised of men from across the Puget Sound area, defeated the San Diego Aftershocks 495-42, a dominating victory that set the stage for the female bout between the Rollers and the visiting Starlettes. The high capacity crowd at Skateland was treated to an entertaining bout between the two high-level teams with the Rollers eventually pulling away to a 142-57 victory. Keep an eye out for Olympia area bouts in the months to come.
