The Olympian held its annual “Best of South Sound” contest and just announced the winners Wednesday March 13th during the Thurston County Chamber of commerce lunch meeting.
For the third straight year, John Erwin Remodeling has been selected as “Best Remodel Contractor” and for the first time was also selected as the “Best interior Designer.”
The annual contest is voted on by the readers of the Olympian. This year and for the first time, the contest was held completely on line and no actual companies were listed on the ballot. It was up to individuals to fill in their choices for all the different categories.

John Erwin has been Remodeling and Designing projects in Thurston County for 20 years. They have a dedicated staff of 15 employees and is a full service remodeling contractor covering everything from additions, kitchen and bathrooms as well as small projects. John Erwin designs about 95% of what they build utilizing CAD software giving his clients realistic three dimensional views of their project so they can really know how the finished product will look and feel. Over the years, JER has received 31 Remodeling excellence awards both locally and at the state level from the building industry which is a direct reflection of the quality of work they produce.
