Saturday, May 12 was the annual Prairie Appreciation Day at Glacier Heritage Preserve just off the Mima Rd near Littlerock. Activities included guided prairie wildflower walks, self-guided natural history walks, a native plant sale, tractor-pulled hay rides around the prairie, and many exhibits; including gardening with native plants, birds and butterflies of the prairie, the geology of the prairie, invasive plants, and prairie restoration efforts. Visit the website for more information and make plans to attend next year. http://www.prairieappreciationday.org
