On Wednesday, November 11, from 9:30 a.m. to Noon, join tour guide Steve Pogge with Olympia Parks, Arts & Recreation as we explore all seven major War Memorials on the State Capital grounds. Learn how each one came into being and some little known facts about the artists and interpretation behind the pieces. In addition to the memorials, Steve will share some interesting history on the architecture, art work and landscaping of the Capital.
Tour fee is $15 . Preregistration is required by Wednesday, November 4. Register online or by calling 360.753.8380. Wear good walking shoes, we will be on pavement for most of the tour but will be doing a little over a mile of walking. Location details provided upon registration.
