In addition to serving our country, many veterans are helping restore the South Sound Prairies; their efforts support both rare wildlife and national defense. This Thursday, November the 10th, from 9 am to 3 pm the Center for Natural Lands Management (CNLM) will host a volunteer event centered on veterans to celebrate their contributions to national defense and conservation.
Join CNLM for a day of prairie restoration activities and learn how veterans and active duty members are helping us restore the South Sound prairies. We will have a BBQ to celebrate our veterans!
This is a free family-friendly event. Please dress for the weather and bring plenty of water. Bring your own work gloves or use ours.
Meet us at Hawks Prairie Park and Ride at 9:00 am to caravan or carpool to Tenalquot Prairie (25 minutes away). Event organizers will have a sign at the park and ride so that the group is easily recognizable.
