South Sound Reading Foundation will hold a used book sale from 2 to 6 PM on Friday, October 12, and Saturday, October 13, at 200 Sleater-Kinney Road NE. The Foundation is selling over 5,000 titles of adult fiction, book club picks, fantasy, thrillers, Westerns, romance, nonfiction, art, culture, history, and teacher resources. Senior citizens who visit on Friday will receive 50 percent off on all titles; educators who shop Saturday will save 50 percent off on all titles and may pick up free teaching materials.
All proceeds will be used to purchase children’s books for South Sound low-income families. SSRF serves youngsters entering school so they are prepared to learn, read, and succeed. Over 55,000 books were distributed to families in 2017.
