Former U.S. Army Captain Luis Carlos Montalván, the New York Times bestselling author of “Until Tuesday: a Wounded Warrior and the Golden Retriever who Saved Him,” will be at the Olympia Timberland Library with his service dog, Tuesday, on Monday, November 25 from 8:30 to 10 p.m. to give a talk and sign copies of his book.
Critically acclaimed, “Until Tuesday” has won the 2012 USA Best Book Award in the Autobiography/Memoir and Audiobook Non-fiction categories. It was a finalist for a 2012 APA Audie Award and a 2012 International Latino Book Award. The book will be available for purchase from the nonprofit organization, Northwest Battle Buddies at the program.
“We aren’t just service dog and master; Tuesday and I are also best friends. Kindred souls. Brothers. Whatever you want to call it. We weren’t made for each other, but we turned out to be exactly what the other needed,” wrote Montalván.
