OLYMPIA – Stream Team and WSU’s Native Plant Salvage Project will team up to present a free field class, “Meet the Trees of Washington,” on Saturday, June 8, from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., in Olympia. This class is especially beneficial for newcomers to our area or anyone else who has ever wondered about the benefits and horticultural uses of native trees and other plants. Participants will learn about several different ecosystems they can visit in the South Sound and the plants and animals that inhabit them.

After classroom instruction, participants will take a field trip to a local nature trail to learn to identify native trees, shrubs and perennials. Bus transportation is provided for the field trip.
Field class is free.  Registration is required, as space is limited.  Visit www.streamteam.info and click on “Register”.
