Join members of the Thurston Early Childhood Coalition in celebrating early learning with internationally recognized author Jerry Tello. Jerry is best know for his work in the areas of fatherhood, family strengthening, community mobilization, and culturally-based violence prevention.
Jerry is the co-founder of the National Compadres Network and the Director of the National Latino Fatherhood and Family Institute. He is a noted therapist, program developer, and inspirational trainer. The focus of his dynamic presentation is “Strengthening Children From Their Rootstraps – Raising Children in Tough Times.”
During opening ceremonies, the Early Childhood Coalition will present Angel Awards to five outstanding Thurston County activists that are dedicated to the healthy development and wellbeing of young children and their families.
