Please come to the 2015 Flag Day Ceremony. It is co-sponsored by Thurston County Veterans Council and Thurston County Realtors Association. It is held on June 14th, every year, at 4:00PM at the Lacey Civic Plaza (adjacent to Appleby’s Restaurant near Sears). This year, June 14th is a Sunday.
The ceremony begins with the raising of a huge American Flag by ladder trucks from Lacey Fire District 3 and Olympia Fire Department (3:45PM) followed by a Cannon Salute at 4 p.m. sharp.
The program lasts about 25 minutes and guests this year are SoS Kim Wyman, Senator Karen Fraser and a whole lot of elected officials, law enforcement, fire personnel, military folks, scouts, and the public.
