Over 400 community members from all faiths and backgrounds will meet on the steps of the state capitol on Sunday afternoon, May 1st, united in one common goal – to end hunger here in our community and around the world. This year will mark the 36th anniversary of the CROP Hunger Walk here in Thurston County.
Walkers register as individuals, or as members of a team, and ask for donations to sponsor their walk. In 2015, Thurston County community members raised $33,350! 25% of these funds stay right here in Thurston County supporting local hunger-fighting programs. The remaining 75% helps with grassroots, hunger-fighting development efforts around the world.
Please join us this year, or consider sponsoring a walker! Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. with the walk beginning at 1:30 p.m. following a short program.
