Please join us in welcoming President Michael K. Young, University of Washington, as the keynote speaker at the 108th Annual Meeting of the Thurston County Chamber on Wednesday, May 8.
Young will give the keynote address. He’ll share insights on higher education’s role in economic development, community development and how research in higher education enters the marketplace. The event will include the transferring of the gavel from Thurston County Chamber of Commerce Board of Trustees Chair Reid Bates to Chair Elect Mike Marohn, a review of last year’s successes, and an optimistic look forward to 2013-14.
The Chamber will also honor a business/organization with an Excellence in Business Award and a Contribution to Community Award.
