In 2017, the City of Olympia is creating a Climate Action Plan. It’s critical that the plan include the bold and courageous steps needed, and that the City re-align its priorities to make climate justice a top-tier focus of its work.
This forum will include a discussion of:
- The City’s climate action planning process
- Strategies for influencing its climate action plan
- Some proposals for climate justice and deep reductions in Olympia’s carbon emissions
- Initial organizing steps to make sure citizen voices are heard.
Presenters will include:
Rich Hoey, Public Works Director for the City of Olympia
Tom Crawford, Vice Chair of TCAT board, and lead for TCAT’s greenhouse gas inventory work.
