The Evergreen State College Gallery is hosting a live virtual gallery showing featuring the work created by seniors in their final year at the college.
The seniors selected for this show will also have an opportunity to participate in a live virtual gallery opening event, on Tuesday, June 9th, from 5-6:30pm. Each artist will take turns speaking about their work and a bit about their struggles and successes and then transition to a Q&A session. Friends, family and the general public are invited to attend. Details regarding the zoom event will be available by Monday, June 8th on Evergreen’s Gallery website (listed in event details).
This event marks the opening of virtual galleries that will be hosted on the college’s website, showcasing student work.
The first virtual gallery will be an immersive 360º gallery experience of Retrospective, the current show physically on display at the college that opened mid-February. Retrospective features works from several of Evergreen’s permanent collections.
The second will feature works from students enrolled in a variety of visual and media arts courses. Students will share a little bit about their work what it took to invent new spaces to create as our studios were shuttered due to the pandemic.
The final gallery will feature the work of the seniors mentioned above and is intended to highlight work made in their final year.
