Tenino Depot Museum, on Park Street, will host the “Tenino Pioneer Village” during Oregon Trail Days. They will have over 23 Pioneer “hands on” activities for adults and children! These activities will give a glimpse of what early Tenino pioneers had to do to survive! Every interactive event is FREE! On Saturday there will be a farm tractor with a trailer giving a historic tour of Tenino. Here are the activities:

Log cutting with old crosscut saw
Skin cedar log with a draw knife
Making axe handle with draw knife
Pounding spikes into railroad tie on the railroad track
Rope making by hand with a small simple machine
Apple cider making
Art projects
Candle making
Ticknor school activities inside the schoolhouse
Spinning wool and weaving
Making rag rugs by hand
Cedar post and rail making
Corn meal grinding
Stone carving by Tenino’s 2 Stone Carvers
