Storytime Training & Volunteer Social

Do you enjoy reading books with children? Join the South Sound Reading Foundation for a volunteer social and story time training with TRL librarian Karlyn Spevacek! You’ll learn how to host effective, educational, and engaging storytimes for various age groups while getting to know other SSRF volunteers. Snacks will be provided.

This event is offered as part of the storytime training process for our Adopt-a-Daycare Program. This program matches volunteers with a child care facility near their home or office, where the volunteer will be a “guest reader” on a regular basis (can be monthly or more frequently if you wish!).
