Professional storyteller Elizabeth Lord presents her highly anticipated new show. She has waited three years – wading through all of life’s unexpected turns and twists that life often brings us.
Show Don’t Tell (definition): A phrase/rule used by thespians working in improvisational theater and scripted theater to mean a performer should use physical movement, facial expression, dynamic vocal inflection, and gesture to communicate the emotion/character/story . The thespian should not just stand on stage and orally describe what they are thinking and feeling, they should show it, not tell it. Thus a common reminder from a theater director is: “show don’t tell.”
In this performance, storyteller Elizabeth Lord will be breaking this rule. She will be telling, not showing.
Intended for audiences 16 years old or older.
