Robert Satiacum, enrolled member of the Puyallup Tribe of Indians, will share his perspectives on Native American cultural preservation, Edward Curtis, and Timothy Egan’s book “Short Nights of the Shadow Catcher: The Epic Life and Immortal Photographs of Edward Curtis.”

Mr. Satiacum is a Native American Indian advocate. Immersed in his native culture, he diligently practices the traditions of the Sweat Lodge, Native American Church, and the annual Tribal Journeys in his family canoe. Satiacum’s radio program, Tribal Talk Radio, can be heard weekly on KLAY 1180am, a program that shares Native culture, traditions and viewpoints. This event will occur after regular library hours and no other services will be available. This program is part of Timberland Reads Together, “Short Nights of the Shadow Catcher,” Timberland Regional Library’s one book-one community program.
