Co-writers Jeff Birkenstein of Saint Martin’s University, Anna Froula of East Carolina University and Karen Randell of Southhampton Solent University, UK, will present the “The Films of Terry Gilliam,” a discussion and analysis of the works of Gilliam, during the March 18 installment of the Saint Martin’s University Robert A. Harvie Social Justice Lecture Series. The event will take place in Harned Hall, Room 110, on the University’s Lacey campus.

The discussion and analysis will be based on The Cinema of Terry Gilliam: It’s a Mad World, a book the three co-authored on Gilliam’s cinematic  works. The evening will include a screening of Gilliam’s 1981 classic, Time Bandits.

The authors’ discussion will begin at 6:30 p.m., with the screening of Time Bandits to follow at 7:15 p.m. The post-screening analysis will take place 9 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. (approximate).
