The Olympia Historical Society and Bigelow House Museum in partnership with the State Capital Museum/WSHS will present a program on earthquakes in Olympia as a part of the OHS/BHM annual meeting in the Coach House at 211 21st Avenue SW at 1:00 pm on Saturday January 9. Tim Walsh, Chief Hazards Geologist for the Department of Natural Resources will present an overview of area earthquake history followed by images and reminiscences of the 1949, 1965 and 2001 major earthquakes in Olympia. $2.00 donation requested. The OHS/BHM Annual Meeting will begin after the program.
