Public Hearing for 2014 Thurston County Budget

Thurston County Commissioners encourage county residents to comment on the proposed 2014 budget at a public hearing Tuesday, October 29.  The preliminary budget proposal recommends a reduction in spending for 2014 as inflation continues to outpace revenue growth. Taking into consideration 2013 expenditures and early revenue forecasts for next year, Commissioners will need to trim about $6 million dollars from 2013 spending levels for the 2014 budget.
