Oryan Peterson-Jones (On tour from Humboldt County)

– An oddball showcase of multi-instrumental folk, highlighting multiple ethnic influences and rhythms, particularly fadó, flamenco, and American Primitive.

For fans of: John Fahey, Leo Kottke, Robbie Basho, Sandy Bull, Jack Rose & Ben Chasny.

Oryan Peterson-Jones was born in Arcata, California during a cold November rain. After graduating from Humboldt State University with a degree in Music as a Cultural Metaphor, he was inspired to explore the globe with purpose; collecting stories, field recordings, instruments, and gems of wit and wisdom. Oryan began performing from behind the Redwood Curtain in the late nineties, developing his signature fast finger-picking style playing alongside the dusty outsider folk ensemble, Die Geister Beschwören, and 24-year running, psych-rock mavens, Datura Blues.
