Is there a story that haunts you? This fall’s second Paul Gillie workshop sponsored by the Olympia Poetry Network will focus on the unique capacity of poetry to capture a sense of character and narrative, time and place. The event takes place Monday, October 6, 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the Olympia Timberland Library. Drawing from her experiences in researching and creating Against My Dreams, a collection of narrative poems in the voice of her immigrant grandmother, Linda Strever will provide examples and exercises. The workshop is free. For more information call 360-701-2030.
