Olympia Garden Club Meeting

Olympia Garden Club is a group of vibrant people who love gardening! Our programs provide members with resources and networking opportunities to promote gardening and floral design. We also serve the community with various projects to help beautify and maintain public areas. We are currently working on our Merrie Makings project. We make and sell fresh green wreaths, swags, centerpieces to support horticulture programs and grants to local schools. Visitors are welcome at our club meetings which are held at Gull Harbor Lutheran Church, 4610 Boston Harbor Rd. NE in Olympia.
Our next meeting is October 27. During social time from 9 AM to 10 AM, members and guests can purchase plant starts donated by other members. The business meeting includes a review of horticulture samples from members’ gardens, a report on the habits of various birds, a floral design of the month. October’s program is “Noxious Weeds – How to Identify and Dispose Of”, presented by Heidi Steinback, from Thurston County. We usually finish around 1:00 PM. Members bring their own lunch and beverage. Coffee and tea are provided.
