On Sunday November 16th we will be holding a fundraising event at the Page St. Cafe from 5-9 PM.
We will be joined by local musical talent: The Lowest Pair, Music is the Bridge, the Affordable Uke Act.
Local artists Nicki McClure, Chris Maple, Barry Troutman, Robin Ivey-Black and Linda Chapman will be on hand for a silent auction that will include their works, framed photography, weekend getaways, certificates for massages, hot tub soaks and much more. Also for sale will be t-shirts, calendars featuring stunning photography of Olympia’s herons and stationary cards.
We will be charging a $10-20 cover on a sliding scale; entry comes with a complimentary beer or glass of wine and a raffle ticket. Complimentary h’orderves will be served. Additional beer and wine are available for sale at the counter.
Come help support us as we consolidate our successes this year and move to expand the heronry buffer. Funds will be used to restore the 4.5-acre heronry, including costs associated with ivy removal, as well as reforestation and replanting of the understory with native plants. Funds will also be used to purchase signage and sections of split rail fencing to discourage ingress during the breeding season.
