River Ridge High School is hosting North Thurston Public School’s 8th annual College and Career Fair. This exciting event is open to all students and parents. It is never too early to start exploring your future. This is a great opportunity for students and parents to explore the many options available to them after graduation. The opening workshop is 5:00 to 5:30 and helps you learn how to navigate the College Fair – there is a lot going on! Doors to the fair open at 5:30 to 7:30. The closing workshop is from 7:30 to 8:00 and is titled How to Finance Education 101. Come for all or part!
Over 100 participants:
• 4 year, 2 year, technical, and the apprenticeship trades;
• Washington state, public and independent colleges and out of state colleges;
• Military – all branches of the military including ROTC;
• Numerous careers including law enforcement, banking, healthcare, local businesses with career opportunities, careers in STEM and much more;
• Scholarship Organizations promoting their scholarships – what you need to apply;
• Community Organizations providing youth volunteer opportunities;
• Excellent workshops: How to Navigate the College Fair, Financing College 101, Careers in Healthcare, ROTC and Transition Workshop for parents and students who have an 504 or IEP.
• NCAA Information table for student athletes.
• River Ridge Student Store will be open with pizza and drinks.
