Those of us lucky enough to move to the Pacific Northwest may find the same conditions that produce all this gorgeous green can present new and unfamiliar challenges to the would-be gardener. This workshop will provide an overview of essential ways gardening here may be different and what to do to enjoy success in our maritime climate.

You’ll come away with lots of new ideas, tips and handouts concerning water, soil, pests, fungi and even hazard trees to help you create lasting success and enjoyment in your new vegetable, ornamental or native plants garden. The session will include a 20-minute Q &A with a couple of long-time local WSU Master Gardeners.

This workshop is free and open to all. No pre-registration needed, please just show up to multipurpose room B.
