Master Gardeners present ‘Invaders at the Gate’

What do gardeners, motor boats, off-road vehicles, firewood, and ocean going cargo ships have in common? They are all vectors for transporting destructive invasive species in our state.

Wendy Brown will discuss the wide range of invasive species present in Washington, as well as the biggest threats to our state. Learn about the biggest threats — from plants, firewood, snails, mussels, feral pigs, and ballast water. She will also speak about the work of the Council and their approach to invasive species management and discuss ways in which gardeners and the nursery industry can be part of the invasive species solution.
