The price of gas isn’t the only thing that’s gone up in 2022 – school supplies are more costly as well! To help every local child go back to school with the supplies they need to succeed, KXXO Mixx 96.1 is holding a School Supplies and Cash Drive Friday, August 12 from 6 A.M.-6 P.M. in partnership with the Little Red Schoolhouse Project. Donating is easy! Either make a monetary donation online anytime at www.KXXO.com or, the day of August 12, phone in your donation to 360-943-9696 or drop off school supplies such as calculators, smaller backpacks, or cash to buy school supplies to KXXO’s broadcast studios at the corner of State and Washington in downtown Olympia. There will be a safe and secure outdoor drive-up donation box for change, cash, and checks courtesy of Zeigler’s Welding. 100% of what is received in donations will go to the Little Red Schoolhouse Project (minus any transaction fees for online donations). Donate cash and see your donation double! Heritage Bank will match the first $2,500 donated! Capital Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing will match the next $1,000 donated.
