Join farmers, farm supporters and those leading programs designed for a vibrant agricultural community on Friday evening March 18 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm, Swede Hall, 18543 Albany St SW, Rochester, WA 98579.

South of the Sound Community Farm Land Trust is a local non-profit dedicated to preserving, working, affordable farmland in the South Sound.   All in the community are invited to this family event.  Join others at the round table information sessions, for the potluck and to participate in the annual meeting.  The 2016 South Sound Direct Sales Farm Map will available at the meeting.

The “Keeping it Farming” Round Tables start at 5:30 pm.  This is a chance to ask the experts about programs for farmers, handing down the family farm, or leasing land.  Check out the other tables for children, newcomers and those who look forward to this annual event to catch up with friends and neighbors.

The potluck will start at 6:15.  Swede Hall does not have dishware, so along with your favorite food to share bring your dishes, glassware and utensils.   Family friendly beverages are welcome.

The business meeting starts at 7 pm with updates from Mary Ann Swain, SSCFLT’s Director of Farmland Acquisition and introduction of Annie Shattuck, our new Director of Development and Administration.  At the end of the meeting we will be asking for your ideas about making easements and the community farmland model everyday topics of conversation in our community.
