Josie Emmons Turner, former Tacoma Poet Laureate, will read her work at Olympia Poetry Network’s monthly event on Wednesday, June 19, 6:30-8:00 p.m. The reading takes place at Traditions Café 300 5th Ave SW in downtown Olympia. Turner’s poetry has been published in many journals and anthologies including In Tahoma’s Shadow, California Quarterly and Floating Bridge Review. A chapbook printed by Springtide Press will be released this fall. Turner teaches English at Clover Park High School. An open mic session precedes the featured reading.
