Join us on Sunday, March 22 at 2:00 PM for a discussion on writing for the middle grade audience. Three 2019 debut middle grade authors, Gabrielle Byrne (Rise of the Dragon Moon), Jody J. Little (Mostly the Honest Truth), and Kristin Thorsness (The Wicked Tree) discuss Jody’s brand-new second novel, Worse Than Weird, and their publishing journeys.
Author Bios:
Gabrielle K. Byrne lives in the rainy wilds of the Pacific Northwest, where she writes fantasy for kids of all ages. Gabby studied opera in Philadelphia, medieval studies in New York, literature in Scotland, and marine biology in the Pacific Northwest, but writing stories is the common thread that ties all her interests together. When she’s not writing, she can be found fishing spineless beasties out of the Salish Sea with her husband and two daughters. Gabby is a mentor for the Pitch Wars writing contest, and a contributor at The Winged Pen blog. Rise of the Dragon Moon is her first book.
Jody J. Little is an elementary school teacher in Portland, Oregon, who loves sharing her joy of books with her students. She is the author of Mostly the Honest Truth and Worse Than Weird. Visit her at www.jodyjlittle.com or follow her on Twitter @jodyjlittle.
Kristin Thorsness is a former 5th and 6th grade teacher who lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband, their son and daughter, and three spoiled dogs. She likes dark chocolate, strong coffee, and creepy stories that keep her up reading late into the night. For more info or to get in touch, visit her online at www.kristinthorsness.com.
