Celebrate the tideflats! Every year we welcome the public to our beach to learn about oysters, oyster farming, and life in the Hood Canal, aquatic and other. We call this beach ho-down the Hama Hama Oyster Rama. It’s not the biggest party in the world, but it might be the biggest subtidal one!

The Rama features tours with intertidal ecologists and oyster growers, u-pick oysters and clams, an oyster-sports competition we call the Shuckathalon, a beer and wine garden, kid’s activities, live music, and various delicious food options. Every year, the Rama benefits local Hood Canal charities.

Featuring a cooking competition, live music, kid’s oyster arts & crafts, and food: all day long.

Remember: No dogs or outside food or drink. Yes to knee boots, buckets, clam harvesting equipment, gloves, rain gear, sunglasses, etc. You don’t need a shellfish harvesting license, just a sense of adventure! We’ll send out an email to ticket holders the week before the event with directions, a weather report, and other helpful tips.
