Groundbreaking Ceremony for Family Support Center Smith Building

The Family Support Center is pleased to announce the start of construction on the Smith Building Family Shelter & Affordable Housing Project, which will create 6 family shelter units and 7 permanent affordable housing units for homeless families with children, opening in Spring 2014. This event on Tuesday, November 12 at 10am will be short and sweet with coffee, pastries, and a few words from:

• Julie Hankins, Olympia City Council
• Neil McClanahan, Mayor Pro Tem of Tumwater and HOME Consortium Chair
• Glenn Wells, Project Architect
• Schelli Slaughter, Executive Director of the Family Support Center
