Family Caregiver Education Series: Supporting Loved Ones with Diabetes

This workshop will help you: Describe the symptoms of diabetes, list possible complications, learn how caregivers can support a loved one and recognize the emotional needs of the family. Diabetes can pose challenges both to those who have the disease and their family caregivers.

Home Instead Senior Care, serving the greater South Puget Sound region, is now offering a monthly family caregiver education series. This series is designed to support you, the family caregiver, and will feature relevant issues such as sibling communication, seniors and nutrition, navigating the senior care maze, and seniors and cognitive issues.

Each quarter, beginning in January 2015, we will provide a once a month in-house program with timely relevant takeaways for you. Each month we will provide a more detailed outline of the classes to come as well as what to expect for the next quarter following.
