Help us Re-envision Capitol Way as a Greener, More Vibrant Streetscape!

Join us Monday, September 29 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at The Olympia Center to share your ideas and collaborate with fellow members of the community to re-envision the Capitol Way streetscape from the Farmer’s Market to the Capitol Campus as part of the EPA’sGreening America’s Capitals Program. All community members are invited!

The City of Olympia is one of three capital cities selected this year to receive assistance from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Greening America’s Capitals Program. EPA is providing Olympia with a team of professional designers with expertise in urban design, green infrastructure, and transportation. The design team will help us to incorporate sustainable design strategies into the Capitol Way corridor. Goals for the project include creating a stronger connection between downtown and the Capitol Campus, integrating green infrastructure to treat stormwater runoff, enhance economic vitality downtown, and support a distinctive downtown neighborhood.
