CIELO Project is hosting its 2nd annual “Dia de Los Muertos”/ “Day of the Dead” Masquerade Party fundraiser: Friday, Nov. 1st from 8 to 12 midnight at the Columbian Hall off Martin Way in Lacey. Featured is music by DJ “El Gallito,” performances by Danza Quetzalcoatl de Olympia (Azteca dancers) at 8:30 and Samba Olywa at 9:00, and live music by Los Calaveras beginning at 9:30.

Enjoy traditional Latino food free and a no-host bar; special decorations—an “altara”/ alter with “ofredas”/offerings; flowers, lights, & sugar skulls; masquerade costumes (optional), a makeup bar & souvenir photo opp.; and of course dancing! This event supports CIELO’s English language & Spanish literacy programs for Latinos in south sound. Tickets are $30 each at brownpapertickets.com or at the door; students $20 with ID.
