Two-Part Class on Tuesdays: November 3 & 10
This class will present simple techniques to begin or renew your meditation practice. In the first session we will discuss some of the many benefits of meditation, approaches to establishing your practice, focusing the mind, basic body mechanics and sitting approaches for meditating. Class participants will practice a short daily meditation for the week in between the two classes.
In the second session, we will discuss everyone’s experience of daily practice. We will meditate together in both classes. It is my hope that you will leave the class with some tools and inspiration to sustain a daily practice.
Instructor: Betty Cantalini. I have been meditating since I was 19 years old when I learned Transcendental Meditation. I meditated daily for many years and then off and on for many more. I recommitted to daily meditating in the tradition of Zen Buddhism for several years and, most recently, my daily practice consists of morning yoga and a simple sitting practice.
