At a Death Café people come together in a relaxed and safe setting to discuss death, drink tea and eat delicious cake. The objective of Death Café is “To increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives.”

Join in the conversation, topic Death as we safely explore what’s on your mind. There is no set agenda. We’ll provide the space, light refreshment and invited community. We ask that you come in the spirit of creating an open, respectful and confidential space, free of discrimination. You bring the content! This is an opportunity to explore your questions or thoughts on death with others seeking the same. RSVP required. Space is limited.

Please note: A Death Café does not constitute a bereavement support or grief counseling setting, especially not for people who have experienced a very recent and/or traumatic loss or death. If you need bereavement support, please contact your healthcare provider or one of the sponsors for an appropriate referral.

Local events are based upon the international Death Café model. You can read more about this movement on the http://www.DeathCafe.com website.
