The Pacific Education Institute invites you to get up close with New York Times bestselling author of “Last Child in the Woods” and “The Nature Principle” Richard Louv at The Washington Center for the Performing Arts, on Saturday, January 26th.

Mr. Louv is the 2008 Audubon Medal awardee, a highly prestigious award from the National Audubon Society given in recognition of outstanding achievement in conservation and environmental protection. Fellow awardees include Walt Disney, Jimmy Carter, Rachel Carson, and Sir David Attenborough.

Creator of the term “nature-deficit disorder,” Mr. Louv will speak to the importance of nature for the health and well-being of both our children and our world, followed by a lengthy Q&A opportunity.

Mr. Louv’s books will be available for purchase in the lobby. There will be an opportunity for book signing after the event.
