One of the ways cooperatives are unique with regard to other business structures is that they adhere to a set of International Cooperative Principles.
Join Joanna LaTorre at the Olympia Timberland Library on Saturday, June 29 from 2:30 to 5 p.m. to learn how cooperatives in our community are putting principles of member participation, concern for community and cooperation among cooperatives to work.
LaTorre is inspired by the cooperative movement and the process of consensus. She has been an active member at the Olympia Food Co-op for eight years and serves on the organization’s steering and personnel committees. She can be found working in customer service and the produce section.
