Local poet Patrick Dixon lived and drift-gillnetted for salmon in Alaska for 20 years. He has written about those experiences for 20 more.
Patrick Dixon is a writer and photographer retired from careers in teaching and commercial fishing. His poems have been published frequently online, in anthologies, magazines, and journals. Prior to this spoken word event, Patrick will instruct a poetry workshop titled “Writing from the Inside Out”, part of our Creative U programming. [Advance registration is required as space is limited. Participants will need to bring writing materials.]
