Artist’s Statement:
Dynamic textures, pellucid layers, and harmonious contrast, are blended together to generate a sense of awe and tranquillity in my art. Conveying a sense of continuous motion, as if the painting is in a constant state of becoming, is my focus.
Nature, from the life illuminated depths of the ocean, to the nebulae where stars are born, is my muse.
My current series incorporates the rough impasto textures of polymer concrete and the languid luminosity of plant base epoxy, to create paintings that are timeless and entrancing. From every angle that you look, in different lighting throughout the day and night, one painting seems as many, for the depth allows for light to play in so many ways that there is constantly a feeling of discovery and awe.
