Everyone is invited to celebrate spring, literature and libraries by entering the Peeps®Diorama Contest at the Olympia Timberland Library.
A diorama is a scene recreated in miniature and in three dimensions. The project at hand requires the scene be selected from, or inspired by literature – the unbirthday party from “Alice in Wonderland,” for example – with the characters in the scene made out of Peeps. Here are the details:
- Contest rules and entry forms available at any of the library’s information desks starting Wednesday, April 1.
- Two optional diorama-making workshops at the library –
- Wednesday, April 8 from 1 to 5 p.m.
- Friday, April 10 from 3 to 7 p.m.
- Entries accepted April 16 through April 23
- Entries displayed at the library for public voting, April 24 to May 8
- Judging criteria: creativity, workmanship, visual appeal, and possibly humor
- Winners announced on the Olympia Timberland Library Facebook page
