Join us on Tuesday July 30th for the opening of Ancestral Women, Contemporary Voices: Art from the Great Lakes, an exhibition that honors women elders from each of Wisconsin’s 12 Native American tribes.

More generally, the exhibition portrays the strength of indigenous women, both elders and their contemporaries. The show features Jacquard weavings done by Mary Burns, as well as other works done by Anishinaabe artists, which exemplify their strong and innovative cultural traditions.
