Slow Food USA Executive Director, Richard McCarthy, will be speaking at 7pm, February 3 at The Evergreen State College (Seminar III, lecture room C1105) about the connection between the Slow Food movement and farmers markets. The presentation is open to the public. This event is co-sponsored by Slow Food Greater Olympia and two programs at The Evergreen State College – Practice of Organic Farming & Ecological Agriculture: Healthy Soil, Healthy People.
Richard McCarthy has been the Executive Director of Slow Food USA since January 2013. He came to that position after serving as Executive Director of Market Umbrella, an internationally recognized non-profit mentor organization for farmers markets, community building and sustainable economic development.
