The public is invited to join the City of Lacey, North Thurston Public Schools, and community members and organizations to the Compassion is Contagious Community Forum on Saturday, January 23, 2016. Recently, the City of Lacey and North Thurston Public Schools signed on to the International Charter for Compassion and are working together to expand compassionate acts and programs in our community to assist citizens of all ages.
The Forum will feature small group and round-table discussions, guest speakers — including North Thurston High School teacher Brady Olson — and the premier of a locally produced video about the state of compassion in our community. The event runs from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the River Ridge High School auditorium and commons, 350 River Ridge Drive SE (off Martin Way). This event is free to all who attend and will include light refreshments.
