New Life Baptist Church will be joining with Susan G. Komen for the Cure Puget Sound Affiliate (Komen) on Saturday, October 26 for Worship in Pink Breast Health Symposium 2013, to provide breast cancer screening and breast health care education to women age 40 and older in Pierce and Thurston counties.
The Symposium, like last year, will feature healthy cooking classes, health screenings, massage therapy, and discussion on mental fitness and well as a mini workout with a personal trainer from Health Whiz classes. It is open to all women age 40 and older in Pierce and Thurston counties, including those who will not receive breast cancer screening. Most health insurances are accepted and there is financial aid for uninsured women. Currently making appointments for a mammogram.
